Doing Api Testing and UI Testing on a project

Hi Ashish,

Just wanted to know, suppose I want to do if we have to do Api testing using soapUI and UI testing using Selenium on a project.

Does both go hand in hand or firstly api testing is performed on the complete project and then UI testing is done.

What in case a new module comes up tomorrow, how both will be performed on it?

Both the testings(UI and API) performed simultaneously. It can be done with soapui, But preferred is restassured.
